Here are the results for the Vale Of Glamorgan Junior Duathlon 2016

WELSH TRIATHLON SOUTH REGION RACING SKILL SCHOOL, MAINDY, CARDIFF

Welsh Triathon are pleased to offer Welsh Triathlon T2, T3, Youth and Junior members the opportunity to learn and practce racing skills swimming, cycling and running in the 25m swimming pool and  closed road circuit under the guidance of trained coaches.

Welsh Triathlon have facilities booked between 11:30 and 17:00 on Saturday 16th January and we are offering swim, cycle and running racing skills to Welsh Triathlon T2, T3, Youth and Junior members.

The session will be led by National, Regional and Club coaches, and is for you to learn to ride safely in groups and to improve existing skills.  Whether you’ve never ridden in a group on the road or if you’re an experienced rider looking to sharpen up your skills, the day will be planned to give you the best possible experience.

COST: £12. Online booking only, no fees will be taken on the day.

TIME: 11:30-17:00

DATE: Saturday 16th Jan 2016 (closing date: 8th Jan 2016)

VENUE: Maindy Lesuire Centre, Crown Way, Cardiff, CF14 3AJ.

DETAILS: These sessions are open to Welsh Triathlon members only and will consist of swimming in the 25m pool, cycling and running on the trafiic free outdoor cycle circcuit.

IMPORTANT: Please remember to bring your Welsh Triathon membership card and register upon arrival. If you would like to join Welsh Triathlon you can do this on line via the link HERE

NOTE:

• You will need to prvide your own cycle and other associated equipment.
•  You are required to wear a helmet while cycling and the helmet must be worn correctly at all times. Your helmet must meet the current UK safety standard – BS EN 1078:1997.
• Cycling carries inherent risks. You should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for your own actions and involvement. If you’re unsure whether you are able to participate in any activity, or if you have any questions please ask a member of staff before you sign up.

The childrens pool swim session will start next Thursday the 12th of November. Please be at reception for 17:50 and at poolside for 18:00. Don’t forget to fetch a drink with you for poolside.

We will be returning to the Llanharan film studio venue on the 6th of May. The session will start at 19:00 but need to be ready to gain access by 18:45. This is due to security restrictions. We plan to use the venue every other week but if there is any evening filming or bad weather we will revert to our normal Turbo session at Heronsbridge School. Entries to the Vale of Glamorgan Duathlon will close on Monday the 30th of March. Get your entry in over the weekend to miss the deadline.

Unfortunately we have had to make a change to the Bike route due to the closure of the Bridge at Ewenny. The new route will be an out and back route with a dead turn in the road after Pant Quarry, St. Brides Major. Please see new map and link on the event page.
