This new exciting Triathlon event for 2012 has been designed to give like minded people the opportunity
to take part and experience the fastest growing sport in the UK. The Pencoed Novice Triathlon will take
place at Pencoed Swimming Pool on the 15th of July.

The nature of the course is designed for novices as well as the athletes who are in their early stages of
their Triathlon career. Aim2tri will support its entrants leading up to and during the event to ensure
they have a life changing experience.

Swim

The swim will take place at Pencoed Pool and the distance will be 400m (16 Lengths).

The Bike Course

The cycle route is 17 km on a flat out and back course with excellent road surface. The
route will take you out of Pencoed through Llanharan and towards Llantrisant with the turnaround point
at the L’Oréal roundabout.

Run course

The run distance is 3 km and is traffic free. It will take place within the sports fields
surrounding the Pencoed swimming pool. The route will take you around the outside perimeter of the
sports fields including two laps of the Large field alongside the dual carriageway.
